We work to promote human rights at a cultural level from our headquarters in Cercedilla.

Our organization is active in the area of the Sierra de Guadarrama in Madrid: Cercedilla, Los Molinos, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Navacerrada, Alpedrete, etc. We initiate projects at a local level and in other parts of the world with the support of public and private institutions that share our values.

We bring together people with similar philosophical, artistic, and professional interests in the fields of Human Rights, education, music, psychology, and various technical and scientific profiles. Our guiding values include democracy, peace, and the community of individuals.
Human Rights Education Academy
The activities within the HRE Academy are local and international courses, creation of tools for trainers and exchange of best practices with other organizations, in addition to various follow-up actions organized in collaboration with people from all over Europe. The HRE Academy consolidates a more than six-year line of work of LPS.
LPS creates education activities for Human Rights and non-formal education and we also participate as specialists in activities of other organizations. Our entity is accredited by the European Commission with the quality label of the Erasmus+ program.

At LPS, we strive to contribute to a more democratic and sustainable society. One of our strategies is to map and analyze the conflicts affecting the Sierra de Guadarrama. With this program, we address local conflicts through popular and traditional knowledge. We also believe it is essential to foster dialogue about these issues in public and rural spaces.
This is why we’ve implemented a local project called SERRANÍA, where, through conferences, walks, concerts, and much more, we have brought traditional knowledge and crafts closer to the local community.

Poetry and Music Equals Legendary Art
As we believe, art has a unique power stretching connections between people. Since 2021, through PAMELA we have contributed to the development of a strong and diverse local community that is looking for new ways to consume art and culture. This is its essence, and it has a very positive impact on how we relate here in La Sierra.
